Could conservatives hate the Trump-bashing mainstream media more?
Try this: the AFL-CIO is going to bat for the media in its war with Trump.
"Whether you're covering a hurricane or an election our Democracy can't survive without a free and a fair press," said union President Richard Trumka. "Your access and credibility are being threatened by this administration and I just want to say how wrong that I think that is," he told reporters.
He reminded them that the union has a place for journalists too. "At the AFL-CIO, we're proud to represent workers in media, and know first hand the incredible dedication and sacrifices of America's journalists," said Trumka during a session sponsored by the Christian Science Monitor.
