Not smart, Alec.

While the rest of the nation was at church Sunday morning, Capital One spokesman, er, actor Alec Baldwin reportedly called a black New York Post photographer a "crackhead" and a "drug dealer," and topped it off with a racial epithet.

Alec, 54, was walking his dogs near his New York City pad when Post reporter Tara Palmeri asked him about a lawsuit against his newly pregnant wife, Hilaria, 28, involving her work as a yoga teacher. In response, Alec grabbed Tara by the arm and told her, "I want you to choke to death." (Yes, this is the same Tara who, as a reporter for The Washington Examiner's very own Yeas & Nays page, was kicked out of the Washington Hebrew Congregation for "desecrating" it -- this she did by asking Sean Penn to comment on his quote that people who question his charitable activities should "die screaming of rectal cancer.")

After his fracas with Tara, Alec called Post photographer G.N. Miller a "coon," G.N. told police. The photographer, a retired detective with the NYPD's Organized Crime Control Bureau, pulled out his retired-cop ID, which Alec dismissed as "fake."

After the "30 Rock" star and the photographer shared a chest bump -- and not the friendly kind -- Alec felt the need to walk around informing random passers-by, including a dad pushing a stroller, that G.N. was an ex-con.

"He was saying some serious racist stuff," the shutterbug said. "He said some choice words about my mother, and he was telling people in the street that I'm a drug dealer."

"He could have said a lot of other stuff," G.N. said, perhaps referring to the N-word. "But he used all of the stereotypes associated with black people."

Both men had police reports filed against the other, and Alec later called the allegation that he made racist remarks "one of the most outrageous things I've heard in my life."

This isn't Alec's first race-related rodeo, though. The day before his wedding in June, the Post reports, the actor yelled at a black photographer, "You gotta back up there, Rodney." We'll let you take a wild guess at what the man's name wasn't.

Say what?
