Conservative author Ann Coulter fawned over President Trump after he reportedly referred to Haiti, El Savaldor, and multiple African nations as “shithole countries” in a meeting with lawmakers Thursday.

"He's trying to win me back," Coulter tweeted about the president's remarks.

Coulter, author of In Trump We Trust, has been growing frustrated with the president over his lack of progress on the campaigned-promised border wall.

Citing two people briefed on the meeting, the Washington Post reported Thursday that Trump was angry with lawmakers over possibly restoring protections for immigrants from Haiti, El Salvador, and African nations that his administration plans to end.

“Why are we having all these people from shithole countries come here?” Trump said.

CNN's Kaitlin Collins told Wolf Blitzer on Thursday evening that White House staffers predict the comment would not be a problem and could help Trump resonate with his base.
