Everything seems to be working perfectly for social media whiz Pete Snyder, the Republican who's considering a bid for Virginia's lieutenant governor. The boss of the state's GOP effort to hand Virginia to Mitt Romney on Election Day, has been hired as an on-air commentator at Fox News.
"I feel like I just got drafted by the New York Yankees," said the former pollster and media consultant turned technology entrepreneur. "It's the thrill of a lifetime to work with Roger Ailes and join the powerhouse that is Fox."
The timing is good for Snyder, head of Disruptor Capital which invests in start-up firms mostly in Virginia. He is expected to face challengers in the GOP primary next year and having a TV job should help boost his name recognition in advance of the race as well as give him a platform to brag on Virginia Republicans.
