Former White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci called Steve Bannon a "loser" at a Hanukkah party in New York City.
Invited to speak about his recent trip to Israel, Scaramucci instead tore into former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon at Rabbi Shmuley Boteach’s party on Sunday, according to Page Six.
Scaramucci, also known by his self-imposed nickname "the Mooch," said of Bannon: “He’s a loser. He’ll be a stalwart defender of Israel until he’s not. That’s how this guy operates. I’ve seen this guy operate. He was a stalwart defender of me until it became better for him not to be.”
Scaramucci added: “The problem with Bannon is he’s a messianic figure. It’s his way or the highway. He was dramatically and incredibly divisive in the White House ... He was leaking on everybody ... You don’t leak on the president if you’re the president’s senior adviser. So the guy’s a loser.”
Scaramucci was fired from the White House over the summer after an expletive-laden interview with the New Yorker just 10 days after being appointed as communications director.
In October, his media company, the Scaramucci Post, posted and then deleted a Twitter poll asking how many Jews were killed in the Holocaust after the tweet received considerable criticism.
