CIA leak scandal figure Valerie Plame Wilson has taken to Twitter to zing new Virginia House candidate Barbara Comstock, who headed a legal defense fund to help former Vice President Cheney’s top aide jailed in the affair.

In her tweet, Plame, the former covert CIA officer outed by former columnist Robert Novak in the affair, appeared to be making a joke comparing Comstock, a Virginia state delegate, to the gadfly candidate in the race, Tareq Salahi, most known for crashing a White House state dinner.

“Who to vote for? Scooter Libby's Former Defender Barbara Comstock or guy who crashed White House state dinner?” Plame tweeted.

Nobody was charged in the leak that identified Plame, the wife of administration critic Joseph Wilson, but Libby was convicted in 2007 of lying to investigators. His prison sentence was commuted by former President Bush.

Comstock, a former Bush administration aide, was chairwoman of Libby's legal defense fund. She is running to replace retiring Rep. Frank Wolf, the Northern Virginia lawmaker she once worked for.
