Beyonce's infant girl, Blue Ivy, isn't merely her daughter.

"She's my road dog," the 31-year-old says in the March issue of Vogue. "She's my homey, my best friend."

"I had a very strong connection with my child," the Super Bowl halftime performer says of the day she gave birth to her only child, whose father is B's husband, Jay-Z.

"I felt like when I was having contractions, I envisioned my child pushing through a very heavy door. And I imagined this tiny infant doing all the work, so I couldn't think about my own pain. ... We were talking. I know it sounds crazy, but I felt a communication."

Hey, how come we never have experiences like that with our homeys?

'A' is for ... ?

If Adele is trying to keep her kid's name a secret, she's doing a terrible job.

The "Skyfall" singer, whose hit song "Set Fire to the Rain" earned her the Grammy for Best Solo Pop Performance on Sunday, has been spotted since the awards show with a cursive "A" behind her right ear.

Nevermind that this tattoo will be forever mistaken for a criss-cross of errant hairs; its true significance is that it's a clue in the worst mystery in celebrityville: the case of Adele's baby name.

The 24-year-old gave birth to a boy in October but will only refer to him publicly as "Little Peanut." Rumor has it the "Rumour Has It" singer named her kid Angelo -- this, based on the subtle clue that she was seen last month wearing a gold nameplate necklace reading "Angelo."

The jig is up, Adele. Now, get a tattoo of a "P" behind your left ear and start wearing a pendant of the Planters guy, or we're gonna lose interest.

Say what?

"That's a beautiful thing."

Since the 85-year-old pontiff announced his resignation Monday, Cardinal Peter Turkson, of Ghana, has shot up the papal power rankings. A bigger deal: a black president or a black pope? President Obama broke a streak of 200-odd years, while Turkson would break a streak of 2,000.
