Billy Joel wore a yellow Star of David at his concert Monday night at New York City's Madison Square Garden, more than a week after a white supremacist rally in Charlottesville, Va. left one woman dead.

The singer, who was raised by Jewish parents, wore the Star of David on the breast of his coat and on his back, TMZ reported.

Nazis in Europe forced Jewish people to wear the Star of David leading up to World War II.

White supremacists at the rally in Charlottesville chanted "Jews will not replace us!" and carried Nazi flags.
