U.S. marshals are looking for a couple wanted in a string of armed robberies, including of banks, all over the capital region.
The spree began in January 2012, and authorities are asking the public for information that can lead to their arrest.
Aubray West, 19, is wanted in five jurisdictions. He is accused of robbing banks in Fairfax, Vienna and Alexandria, and of armed robberies in Montgomery and Prince George's counties. His girlfriend, Wendy Johnson, 22, is wanted for two separate armed robberies.
"This little Bonnie and Clyde duo seem to be starting out with a bang. They are wanted in seven different robberies. They need to be stopped," said Supervisory Inspector Matt Burke of the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force.
West is listed as being 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing 150 pounds. His girlfriend is listed at 5 feet 7 inches and 175 pounds.
Johnson may be pregnant and may show up at facilities that provide prenatal services, Burke said.
West has lived or frequented the areas of Capitol Heights, Suitland and Fort Washington, and Southwest Washington.
Johnson had lived in the Elvans Road area of Southeast Washington.
Anyone with information on their whereabouts should contact the Capital Area Regional Task Force at 301-489-1717.
Since 2008 The Washington Examiner's "Most Wanted" feature has led directly to the capture or surrender of 50 fugitives, including murderers, armed robbers, kidnappers, sex offenders and drug dealers.
At least nine of the fugitives were wanted for a killing or had previously been convicted of a homicide.
