NEW YORK – MSNBC's Chris Matthews quietly uttered "Oh God" as Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal prepared to give the Republican Party response to President Barack Obama's speech to Congress.

An NBC executive, who requested anonymity because the network is still looking into the matter, named Matthews as the one who made the live mike slip — it was so quiet most listeners wouldn't be able to identify the speaker.

The Huffington Post posted a link to the comment and asked viewers to guess Wednesday who had made it: 32 percent had guessed Matthews, 35 percent said it was co-anchor Keith Olbermann, 15 percent said it was an MSNBC camera operator and 18 percent thought it was a producer.

MSNBC had no immediate comment.

This is no surprise since Mr. Matthews infamously stated that he gets a "feeling in his leg" about the thought of the "Savior" becoming president.

I like Bobby Jindal. I think the GOP just wants to put a "black" face on tv. I know, Bobby Jindal is not black, but to the GOP he is all they got! I think the GOP is "setting up" Jindal and Steele to fail by have them attack Obama. Obama is like Reagan, he is teflon and anyone who attacks Obama will fail, ask all the people he beat out for POTUS. Jindal is just not ready yet. In about 8 years he'll be ready. He needs to fix La first, then move up, imho.

I guess we can say that Bobby Jindal doesn't send a thrill running up Matthews' leg. Predictable and pathetic, Matthews.

Aww... y'all are silly. This is funny. It's like when Bush called that reporter a "big time" a-hole or whatever it was. Classic!

Why is this even considered a news story. He could have had something happen to him...dropped something or something of that nature. Gesh, this is prety silly...and a waste of space on this news site.
