If you were watching Twitter Thursday night, mentions of “Sharknado” were everywhere as journalists and political staffers tuned in to revel in the hilariously bad/awesome disaster film on the Syfy channel.
As National Review’s Jonah Goldberg noted, if you weren’t sharing in the social media celebration of Sharknado, you were missing out.
“Other than the sharks I feel most sorry for folks who’re going to watch Sharknado later w/out benefit of Twitter,” he wrote on Twitter. “There’s really no point.”
Fox News’ Brit Hume, however, was not impressed.
“Tuned in Sharknado to see what all the fuss was about,” he tweeted back at Goldberg. “When a shark shot out of a manhole, I went back to the golf channel.”
