Following a report that President Trump called the White House "a real dump" while speaking with members of his Bedminster Golf Club, a group of Washington influencers took to Twitter to express their disapproval of the president's recent remarks.
Former first daughter Chelsea Clinton, who spent majority of her teen years as a White House resident spoke out in support of the White House staff, thanking the "ushers, butlers, maids, chefs, florists," etc., for all the hard work they do.
Rep. Dina Titus, D-Nev., also urged President Trump to take his family and move out of the White House if he is unhappy with conditions.
More people expressed their disapproval via Twitter, with many suggesting the comment would have caused major waves had it come from former President Barack Obama.
If Obama - a black man - had called the White House a "dump", white "patriots" in the US would have gone bat-shit crazy. pic.twitter.com/aaN85gwNHy— ChristianChristensen (@ChrChristensen) August 1, 2017
