Chelsea Clinton said Tuesday she believes people have a "responsibility" to speak up during President Trump's time in the White House.

"Certainly I think we all have a responsibility to not stay silent now," Clinton said during an interview on NBC.

"I think we have to speak up and use whatever platforms we have and certainly social media is part of that," she said.

Clinton, who has frequently criticized President Trump on her Twitter account, was responding to a question about whether she feels "liberated" now that her mother, Hillary Clinton, is not running for office.

"I don't think what I say today is really any different than what I would have said had I been asked similar questions or if similar kind of issues had been risen on a stage," Clinton said.
