Bernie Sanders maintains a lead over Hillary Clinton in New Hampshire, and Donald Trump has built a commanding lead as well over all competitors there on the GOP side, according to a new CNN/WMUR poll of the state.
Trump leads Ted Cruz, 30-12 percent. Marco Rubio comes in third place in this poll, at 11 percent. John Kasich is fourth, at 9 percent. Chris Christie and Jeb Bush are at 8 and 6 respectively.
Clinton trails Sanders 57-34 percent, a figure that would have surprised many at the beginning of this primary campaign. The last CNN/WMUR poll, published Jan. 19, found Sanders up over Clinton by a similar margin, 60-33 percent.
Clinton has worked to lessen expectations in New Hampshire, arguing that Sanders' representation of neighboring Vermont gives him an advantage.
That last CNN/WMUR poll on the Republican side, found Trump up 34-14 percent over Ted Cruz.
