A District woman was sentenced to four-and-a-half years in the sexual assault of a teenage girl on a Metrobus.

Federal prosecutors in D.C. say Pamela Taylor, 24, first approached the 14-year-old girl on a Metro train on the morning of Dec. 10, 2011. Taylor mentioned the names of the teen's family members, leading her to believe that Taylor was a family friend.

The girl gave the woman her phone number, and the woman followed the victim onto a Metrobus, prosecutor said.

During the bus ride, Taylor sat next to the girl and touched her inappropriately, and the girl had to force her way past Taylor to get off the bus, prosecutors said.

Taylor called the girl the day, and threatened to assault her if she stepped outside of her home, prosecutors said.
