A D.C. man has pleaded guilty to the June 2012 slaying of the owner of an H Street deli, officials said.

Steven Williams, 46, pleaded guilty on Friday to second-degree murder for the fatal shooting of 64-year-old Hae Soon Lim, according to the District's U.S. Attorney's Office.

On the morning of June 14, 2012, Lim was found fatally shot inside her business, Grace Deli, located in the 700 block of H Street NE.

DNA from a gun holster found next to Lim's body matched Williams. The defendant's DNA was also recovered from an empty cash register inside the deli, prosecutors said.

According to the plea agreement, Williams is likely to receive a sentence ranging from 20 to 28 years in prison. The defendant is scheduled to be sentenced on June 17 in D.C. Superior Court.
