Detectives believe that one man is responsible for two Prince George's County bank robberies that have taken place in the past several weeks.

One of the robberies occurred April 15 at the Capital One Bank at 3601 St. Barnabas Road in Suitland. The other occurred March 20 at the SunTrust Bank located at 8924 Woodyard Road in Clinton, authorities said.

During the incidents, a man entered the banks and passed tellers notes demanding money. The man directed that his note be given back to him with cash, and he fled the businesses after he received money, according to the FBI.

The robber has been described as a black man in his 20s, about 5 feet 6 inches tall and 160 to 170 pounds, with a light complexion and a medium build.

In the Clinton robbery, he was wearing a black jacket, blue jeans and a white, black and red striped head covering. In the Suitland robbery, he was wearing a black shirt, a black hat, blue jeans and a black and white striped scarf.
