The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office is seeking information about three missing teenage girls who left a shelter for at-risk youth.

Fourteen-year-old Evelyn Diaz, 16-year-old Stephanie Thomas and 14-year-old Zandi Englebrecht went missing after they left the Loudoun County Youth Shelter on the evening of Jan. 9, Sheriff's Office officials said.

The teens were last seen near the shelter, located on Meadowview Court in Leesburg. Detectives believe the girls are still in the Leesburg area.

The girls knew each other at the shelter, Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Liz Mills said. Evelyn is from Sterling, Stephanie is from the Aldie area, and Zandi is from Leesburg.

Anne Rogers, director of the Loudoun County Youth Shelter, could not comment on why the girls were at the shelter but said that officials at the facility are "absolutely hoping they're found."

Evelyn is described as a Hispanic female, 5 feet 3 inches tall and 104 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

Stephanie is described as a white female, 5 feet 3 inches tall and 125 pounds, with blond hair with blue eyes.

Zandi is described as a white female, 5 feet 6 inches tall and 135 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.
