Former Vice President Dick Cheney explained Monday night that although New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is a "promising figure," he didn't agree with the potential 2016 presidential candidate.

“I think Chris is a promising figure," Cheney said in a Fox Business Network interview. "I don’t agree with him on a lot of things. I am more conservative than he is."

Cheney specifically mentioned Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker as a potential conservative candidate as well as Christie.

Christie, Cheney noted, would have to "do a lot of work to earn the nomination."

Cheney also mentioned that he "wasn’t a fan" of the way Christie welcomed President Obama during Hurricane Sandy, although he added that Christie "did what he thought was necessary.”
