"The President didn't call but the Vice President did."

- Julia Louis-Dreyfus on Twitter. The actress, who plays the VP on HBO's "Veep" (returning for its second season April 14), told Politico the real Veep, Joe Biden, called to congratulate her after she won an Emmy for the role last September. "He was very funny about it, which led me to believe that he may have seen a couple of episodes," she said.

A running joke on the show is that Louis-Dreyfus' character, Selina Meyer, daily asks her assistant, "Did the president call?" but invariably receives the reply: "No."
