Donald Trump Jr. sparred with Jimmy Kimmel on Saturday after the "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" host called on President Trump to "quit that boring job" in response to the president calling out late-night television hosts for their "one-sided" rhetoric in his Saturday morning tweets.
"Thoughts on Harvey Weinstein? #askingforafriend" Trump Jr. tweeted, referring to the Hollywood producer who faces decades of sexual assault accusations exposed by the New York Times this week.
"You mean that big story from the failing, liberal, one-sided @NYTimes? I think it is disgusting," Kimmel replied in an apparent attempt to mock the president for accusatory tweets regarding the publication the president often calls "fake news."
Trump Jr. spat back, saying he is looking forward to Kimmel's upcoming monologues because he "is due for a change."
Kimmel has been an adamant critic of Trump since his campaigning days and has more recently taken aim at Republicans over their Obamacare repeal effort and the gun control debate.
The late-night show host reportedly worked with Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer on his monologues about the Graham-Cassidy healthcare bill.
