Newell Rubbermaid names president of Unilever Americas to board of directors

ATLANTA — Newell Rubbermaid Inc., which makes consumer products including storage containers and Sharpie pens, on Wednesday named Michael B. Polk, president of Unilever Americas, to its board.

The addition makes Polk, 49, the 12th member of Newell Rubbermaid's board.

Polk joined Unilever in 2005. Unilever makes consumer products such as Dove soaps and Ben & Jerry's ice cream.
