SAIC receives Army software support contract worth up to $848 million

MCLEAN, VA. — Defense contractor Science Applications International Corp. said Wednesday it has received a U.S. Army contract potentially worth up to $848 million for weapons software support.
Under the five-year task order, SAIC will lead 238 subcontractors for systems and software engineering support for weapons systems.
The task order from the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command is to provide professional and engineering support services to the Army Aviation and Missile Research, Development and Engineering Center software engineering directorate.
The work will be done at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Ala.
Shares of SAIC added 2 cents to $18.29 shortly after the market opened.
