A New Zealand-based green group mounting an effort to protest President Trump's environmental policies by planting trees.

The group, Forest Trump, was founded in March by British climate scientist Dan Price, American Ph.D. candidate Jeff Willis, and Adrien Taylor, a French-New Zealander who is CEO of Offcut, a sustainability company. The group encourages donations and began its efforts with 1,000 New Zealand trees provided by Offcut.

So far, the group has more than 50,000 trees pledged to its effort, according to the Huffington Post.

The group has dedicated itself to protesting Trump's environmental policies, which have included rollbacks of Obama-era regulations addressing climate change and pollution, and the appointment of Scott Pruitt to head the Environmental Protection Agency.

In May, Trump announced the exit of the U.S. from the Paris climate accord signed by former President Barack Obama in October 2015.
