The YWCA dubbed actress and activist Eva Longoria a "woman of distinction" Friday night at its annual gala at the Hyatt Regency on Capitol Hill. The women's justice organization awarded Longoria the Dorothy I. Height Award for Racial Justice. According to the YWCA, Longoria's activism demonstrates a commitment to eliminating racism and empowering women. Longoria, wearing a gown of black lace at the ceremony, thanked the other female leaders, as well as the food servers, in her speech.
