There are more unkind things to be said about Hollywood and Washington than we care to list.

Thriving on corruption, sleazy backhanded deals and dishonest tactics, both play host to hordes of navel gazers who struggle like Atlas to shoulder the weight of comically inflated egos.

Hollywood and Washington are also extremely wealthy, home to many powerful players.

So put the two together, as does this video released Friday by the Bill, Hillary & Chelsea Clinton Foundation, and you have the most obnoxious and detestable elements of the two worlds rolled into one, easy-to-digest format.

The video involves former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton begging Kevin Spacey’s "House of Cards" character, Frank Underwood, to sign former President Bill Clinton’s birthday card.

It’s campy, forced, awkward and entirely too, too precious.

Clinton will likely go on to launch a bid for the White House in 2016, and "House of Cards" will continue to draw in a sizable audience as it launches its third season.

Revel in it, America. You did this to yourself.
