A fire that required almost 50 firefighters to control caused about $150,000 in damage to a Largo townhome on Friday.

Prince George's County firefighters responded to the fire at about 2:30 p.m. on Friday in the 500 block of Harry S. Truman Drive. The fire started on the second floor of the master bedroom.

A woman and her dog were able to escape the flames, but the fire caused about $150,000 total in damage.

The fire took about 15 minutes to contain, with 50 firefighters battling the blaze. The adjoining townhomes were not damaged.

Fire officials do not know what caused the fire.
