Disgraced former Democratic Rep. Corrine Brown reported to prison Monday to begin her 5-year sentence for fraud and corruption.

Brown arrived at the federal prison in Sumter County, Fla., via limousine-style minibus, the Orlando Sentinel reported Tuesday.

Family accompanied Brown to the prison.

“I saw emotion. I didn’t see nervousness or fear,” said Bishop Kelvin Cobaris, Brown’s spiritual adviser. “She was just ready to go and face what she needed to face.”

Brown was found guilty in May for taking hundreds of thousands of dollars for a sham charity, One Door for Education, and using the money on parties, trips, and shopping.

While in prison she’s likely to be assigned clerical or janitorial work, the Sentinel reported.
