Conservative columnist George Will thinks that Iran is watching President Obama’s commitment to his “red line” promise on chemical weapons used in Syria.

“Iran is watching this little dance of deadlines and red lines and they’re deciding it doesn’t mean a thing,” he explained on ABC’s This Week on Sunday.

Will noted that Obama gave himself a loophole in his “red line” statement, pointing out that the president said he would act if a “whole bunch” of chemical weapons were used in Syria.

“I don’t know what the metric ‘a whole bunch of’ is, but he can say this is not a whole bunch of,” Will said.

Obama’s trust in the international community to act properly, Will suggested, was a fairytale.

“Now, some people believe in the Tooth Fairy, the Easter Bunny, Santa Clause, the Loch Ness Monster, others believe in the international community,” he said. “It’s a fiction.”
