NRO’s Andrew Johnson catches Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., hailing the historic nature of the Senate’s immigration reform bill.

“What we have done here is good for our country in so many different ways,” he boasted, adding that the bill would boost border security, boost the economy, and reduce the national debt.

Reid added that Sen. Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., had replaced Ted Kennedy as the subcommittee chairman, who would have been pleased to witness their progress.

“Ted Kennedy, I’m sure, is going to wait until next Friday, but he’s going to smile at all of us, because this is a remarkably good piece of work, something he tried to do for a long time,” Reid said.
