Former Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton said Friday if Senate Republicans pass their healthcare bill, the GOP will become "the death party."

"Forget death panels. If Republicans pass this bill, they're the death party," Clinton wrote in a tweet.

Former President Barack Obama, Clinton's boss when she was secretary of state, also blasted the Senate healthcare legislation, writing on Facebook Thursday that it's "not a healthcare bill."

"It's a massive transfer of wealth from middle-class and poor families to the richest people in America," Obama wrote in a Facebook post. "It hands enormous tax cuts to the rich and to the drug and insurance industries, paid for by cutting health care for everybody else."

Senate Republicans on Thursday released their plan to repeal and replace portions of Obamacare.

The bill makes significant changes to the structure of Medicaid, rolls back the individual and employer mandate, stabilizes the Obamacare exchanges for a few years and gives states a broad range of flexibility to make changes to healthcare plans.

The Senate is expected to vote on the bill next week.
