Lou Dobbs is back. Big time.

A year after signing with upstart business cable Fox Business Network, Lou Dobbs Tonight became their first show to beat CNBC for a whole week, besting The Kudlow Report last week during the key 7 p.m. slot.

For the week, Dobbs, the former CNN star, averaged 154,000 viewers nightly compared to Larry Kudlow’s 136,000. Dobbs also won the key 25-54 age demographic for the week.

It’s a big win for Fox Biz. Said Executive Vice President Kevin Magee, “Lou’s insights into the markets, the economy and Washington’s role in all of it have always been welcomed by the audience. They know he doesn’t just speak TO them, he speaks FOR them.”
