Investigators are slowly uncovering more information regarding the Las Vegas shooter, Stephen Paddock, in their investigation and have found that he took 20 cruises, some of which traveled to the Middle East or Europe.
The cruises included stops in Spain, Italy, Greece, Jordan, and the United Arab Emirates, a law enforcement official told CNN. Marilou Danley, Paddock's girlfriend, joined him for nine of the cruises. Other details about the trips, like when they took place and what cruise lines were involved, have not been revealed.
Even though the Islamic State claimed responsibility for the attack and that Paddock had converted to Islam, investigators have found no evidence to support those assertions.
Investigators are still trying to figure out Paddock's motive and are reaching out for help.
The FBI is posting billboards throughout Las Vegas to solicit public tips about the Las Vegas mass shooting, which took the lives of 58 concertgoers and injured nearly 500, as part of an information campaign.
The billboards include details on how to contact the FBI and features text saying "If you know something, say something," FBI special agent in charge Aaron Rouse said to reporters Friday.
Las Vegas police have don't believe there was anyone else in the gunman's room before the attack. Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Undersheriff Kevin McMahill said Friday that authorities are "confident" this is the case. This comment came after it was reported that investigators were confused by a charger that didn't seem to match any of Paddock's cellphones; however, they later said they were able to match up all phones and chargers.
Danley, who was visiting her family in the Philippines after Paddock bought her a ticket to visit her family there, has since returned to the U.S. and said she had no idea Paddock was planning a violent attack and thought Paddock was breaking up with her after he wired her money so she and her family could purchase a home.
Paddock opened fire from the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay hotel Sunday night upon concertgoers at the Route 91 Harvest country music festival.
Paddock was found dead in his hotel room by law enforcement after the shooting.
