Ivanka Trump will head the U.S. delegation at the Global Entrepreneurship Summit in India in November, President Trump and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced Thursday.
".@IvankaTrump will lead the U.S. delegation to India this fall, supporting women's entrepreneurship globally," the president tweeted.
The U.S. and India will co-host the three-day event in Hyderabad, in India's south, with the idea of bringing together representatives from startups around the world and global leaders.
Modi had earlier extended an official invitation to Ivanka Trump to attend the summit while he was in Washington, D.C., in June and said he was looking forward to her presence at the conference.
"Honored to lead the US delegation to #GES2017 in India & meet with Prime Minister Modi & passionate entrepreneurs from around the globe!" the first daughter tweeted after the announcement.
This will be Trump's second solo trip abroad as one of the president's most trusted advisers.
She traveled to Berlin in April as a guest of German Chancellor Angela Merkel and spoke at a woman's leadership forum.
