Super Bowl XLVII between the Baltimore Ravens and San Francisco 49ers will attract more pregame attention than any other football game in history.

Sure, there are good storylines with Ray Lewis and Colin Kaepernick and the Harbaugh brothers, but every Super Bowl has something unique. The ramped-up coverage is just a natural progression. Over the past year there has been a huge increase in the number of national media outlets that cover the NFL. And all of those will descend upon New Orleans with cameras and microphones ready to capture every possible angle.

Locally, Comcast SportsNet will be on hand, planning more than 22 hours of Ravens programming from New Orleans. "Ravens Showdown in the Bayou" and "SportsTalk Live" will air Monday through Friday with live reports for all of the "SportsNet Central" shows.

On Super Bowl Sunday, CSN will air special editions "Ravens Kickoff" and "Ravens Postgame Live."

Nationally, this will be the first Super Bowl for the CBS Sports Radio Network. The NBC Sports Radio Network and the Yahoo! Sports Radio Network also plan Monday through Sunday coverage from New Orleans.

The three new outlets will be joined by veteran Super Bowl networks ESPN Radio, Fox Sports Radio, SiriusXM NFL Radio and Mad Dog Radio. Starting Monday, it will be almost impossible to turn on a radio and not find Super Bowl coverage.

As for TV, both the NBC Sports Network and CBS Sports Network have beefed up their NFL coverage, and they will be airing shows all week from New Orleans.

The NFL Network and ESPN will offer the most pre-Super Bowl coverage, with each logging around 140 hours of coverage.

CBS will air the Super Bowl, so this will be a great chance for it to promote the CBS Sports Network and its radio network heavily. The network will have all of its live daily network programming coming from New Orleans. "CBS This Morning," "CBS Evening News" and "Face the Nation" will air live from the Super Bowl site Monday through the weekend.

On Super Bowl Sunday, CBS will start its pregame at 2 p.m., with the kickoff coming around 6:30 p.m. So fans will have one week and plenty of options to get ready for Super Bowl XLVII in New Orleans.
