House Speaker John Boehner on Tuesday called for a "fix" of Obamacare but stopped short of demanding an immediate repeal of the health care law, something many of his fellow Republicans still are pushing for.
"It's time to delay this. It's time to fix this before it gets any worse," the Ohio Republican told reporters at the Capitol Tuesday.
When asked if he would support incremental reforms of Obamacare during the ongoing bipartisan budget talks, Boehner said, "everything's on the table in those conversations."
But Boehner said the ultimate goal of House Republicans still is full repeal of the Affordable Care Act.
"We want to repeal Obamacare and replace it with patient-centered health care," he said.
