A jury was chosen on Wednesday for the corruption trial for Sen. Bob Menendez, D-N.J.
The jury consists of six men, six women, and four alternates, the Associated Press reported.
Menendez was indicted on charges of federal corruption surrounding a bribery scandal involving donations from a wealthy donor that were exchanged for political influence.
Dr. Salomon Melgen, of Florida, was the donor involved and will also stand trial.
The trial is expected to last for two months and opening statements are set for Sept. 6.
