Rep. Justin Amash, R-Mich., explained on Fox News Wednesday night that President Obama was wrong when he told Jay Leno Tuesday that the United States didn’t have a “domestic spying program.”

“I would say that it was highly misleading,” Amash asserted, explaining to guest-host Laura Ingraham that the Director of National Intelligence had already declassified a program that collects phone records of Americans – even those who are not connected to terrorism.

“When he says we’re tracking phone records, and emails of people who are connected to terrorist threats,” Amash continued. “That’s not true.”
