North Korean leader Kim Jong Un and his rarely seen wife hosted a banquet honoring the developers of the intercontinental ballistic missile his country recently tested.

State broadcaster KRT on Tuesday showed footage of the event that showed Kim and his wife, Ri Sol Ju, sitting at a table with what appeared to be a miniature model of a missile launcher.

North Korea's launch of a longer-range intercontinental ballistic missile on July 4 represents a threshold North Korea had not reached before, according to the Pentagon, demonstrating the capability of reaching a distance as far as Alaska.
