Guys, listen up. We have the perfect holiday date night idea for you that doesn't involve dinner and a movie. The District's largest ice skating rink is finally opening up at Georgetown's beautiful waterfront. Enjoy the view of Potomac River on the 11,800 square-foot rink that is impressively larger than NYC's Rockefeller Center rink.

Celebrate it's grand opening on Saturday with "Winter on the Water," featuring ice skating performances, choral singers, artistic lighting effects and even a St. Lucia parade. And what would ice skating be without warm beverages and food? Georgetown's newest restaurant addition, Farmers, Fishers, Bakers will be supplying the evening with yummy treats.

The event is from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. For more information, go

When you're finished ice skating, warm up in D.C.'s acclaimed global Asian restaurant Zentan (1155 14th St. NW) for World Aids Day. Celebrity chef Susur Lee will be presenting a special Red Ribbon Menu featuring some of its most popular dishes. Start off with a few appetizers like Szechwan Hot & Sour Soup and Salt & Pepper Calamari with Citrus Smoked Chili Mayo. Move on to the main course with Shang's Crispy Garlic Chicken, Cantonese Marinated Skirt Steak, or Stir Fried Squash & Tofu. Top it off with Banana Tempura or a delicious Cookies & Cream dessert. And what would your experience be with Hakushika Sake?

All the proceeds will go the nonprofit health center Whitman-Walker Health.

The Red Ribbon menu is available from 5:30 p.m. to close.
