Another snowball fight planned for Dupont Circle

An organized snow fight takes place at Clarendon Metro station. Snow blankets the DC region on Saturday February 6, 2010. Andrew Harnik/Examiner (Examiner)

After the official 2010 Dupont Circle snowball fight on Saturday, orgainzers are preparing for another war between the 'North' and the 'South.'

The Official Dupont Circle Snowball Fight facebook fanpage has over 6,000 fans now, and it looks as if snowed in DC'ers will return for another battle.

The previous fight on Saturday generated some excellent media coverage in the midst of otherwise bleak news about power outages and unplowed streets.

So far the snowball battles have been waged in good spirits in spite of cars getting pelted on the streets by participants.

In December, a DC police officer (allegedly?) pulled a gun after his Hummer was pelted with snow during the first snowball fight.
