Montgomery slaying suspect arrested in Texas

A second suspect in the slaying of a Silver Spring man was captured in Houston, according to the Montgomery County Police department. Jose Lider Zavala, 29, fled to Texas after Fausto B. Orellana, 43, was savagely beaten in a driveway in the 4400 block of Gridley Road on July 27. Orellana died on Aug. 2.
A second suspect in the slaying of a Silver Spring man was captured in Houston, according to the Montgomery County Police Department.

Jose Lider Zavala, 29, fled to Texas after Fausto B. Orellana, 43, was savagely beaten in a driveway on the 4400 block of Gridley Road on July 27. Orellana died Aug. 2.

The U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force developed information that Zavala was in Harris County, Texas where they arrested him without incident. He is awaiting extradition to Montgomery County, where he will be charged with first-degree murder.

Another suspect, Jose Fidel Hernandez, 35, was arrested Aug. 6. He was charged with accessory after the fact, and is being held at the Montgomery County Detention Center on $250,000 bail.
