WASHINGTON — Participants in a 5k walk around D.C. are fighting homelessness with their feet.
Fannie Mae held its 22nd annual "Help the Homeless" walk Saturday.
Adults who pre-registered paid $25 to participate in the walk, which went around the National Mall.
The sponsor says over 12,000 people in the D.C metropolitan area are homeless.
