Democrat leads in Annapolis mayoral election

ANNAPOLIS, MD. — Democrat Josh Cohen has taken the lead in the race for mayor of Annapolis in unofficial results.
According to results posted on the city's Web site Tuesday night, Cohen, a county councilman, had 3,729 votes, with 16 of 16 precincts reporting. Republican Alderman David Cordle had 3,494 votes and independent Chris Fox, a local bar owner, had 1,056 votes.
The winner will succeed Mayor Ellen Moyer, who could not run again because of term limits.
