Tyne Daly to appear in Kennedy Center production

WASHINGTON — Emmy and Tony Award-winning actress Tyne Daly has been cast in a Kennedy Center production running early next year.
The star from TV's "Cagney and Lacey" will play Maria Callas in the production of "Master Class" by acclaimed playwright Terrence McNally.
The Kennedy Center is presenting three plays about opera in 2010 by McNally as part of its theater season. The McNally series, "Nights at the Opera," will run for five weeks, with plays running concurrently on three stages at the center.
Daly will appear in "Master Class" from March 25 to April 18, 2010. Tickets range from $25 to $80.
