Towson field hockey coach charged in porn bust:
A field hockey coach who taught at a Montgomery County Montessori school in Ashton was arrested after authorities found child pornography and an unsecured handgun at his home, police said Monday.
John J. Kovach Jr., 52, of Towson, was charged after a Feb. 27 online conversation with a retired Los Angeles police officer who posed as a 13-year-old girl. Kovach is a former member of the 1980 Olympic field hockey team and is an assistant coach at Towson University.

My daughter played field hockey for John Kovach's team, the Ocelots for several years. She currently plays for Skidmore College. As a criminal law professor and fundraiser for the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children I take the charges/admissions very seriously. However, I hope that this event does not reflect on the integrity of the Mater Amoris School which is composed of wonderful teachers, employees and a terrific Head Mistress.
