Former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright said Thursday that she's worried about President Trump's first overseas trip, because she doesn't think Trump is up to doing the work needed to make it successful.
"What keeps me up at night is that in fact, this president is not well-enough prepared to deal with the myriad issues that are out there, which are very complicated," she said on CNN when asked about Trump's upcoming nine-day trip. "I've never seen the world this complicated."
Albright added that there's not a full team yet at the State Department, and said on top of that, Trump doesn't seem ready to handle these issues.
"That's what worries me," she said. "Because there's an awful lot happening, and we have a president who doesn't seem to do his homework."
She also advised Trump to stop tweeting during his trip.
"I hope that there is not one single tweet about anything during the nine days that he's gone."
Trump leaves Friday for a trip that will take him to Saudi Arabia, Israel and Italy.
