Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., defended his proposal to defund Obamacare in the wake of criticism of the idea from some of his Republican colleagues.
After citing the multiple problems with the law, Rubio explained on Red State that President Obama’s signature health care law was a mistake that didn’t deserve government funding.
“With all these problems why would anyone want to continue with this failed experiment?” Rubio asked. “Only in Washington do people double down on their mistakes.”
Rubio compared the law to other mistakes in the private sector that were easily resolved.
“In the real world, Ford stopped producing Pintos,” he said. “Coke dropped New Coke and went back to its original formula. Washington should be no different.”
