CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- President Obama has given himself a grade of "incomplete" for his leadership on the economy, and he isn't the only one who thinks he has more work to do. D.C. Councilman Marion Barry also thinks the president could do more.
"He could do more for black folks," Barry told Yeas & Nays at the D.C. delegation party in Charlotte Monday night. "We're not going to be deterred by the fact that he's not done enough."
Barry cited mortgages and loans as areas where the black community could benefit from Obama's attention. "For black students, the finances break their back," he said.
Barry added that he has "love" for Obama, even if "the room for improvement is the biggest room in the house."
