Former President Bill Clinton can't figure out why Republican lawmakers are so upset over Hillary Clinton's bungling of the 2012 terrorist attacks on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi.

Clinton claimed during a Sunday “Meet the Press” interview that Republicans were quiet when U.S. facilities overseas were attacked during George W. Bush's presidency.

So why are they so angry with Hillary Clinton over Benghazi? The former chief executive theorized that Republicans hope tying Benghazi to Hillary Clinton will disqualify her from a 2016 presidential bid.

“When 10 different instances occurred when President Bush was in office where American diplomatic personnel were killed around the world, how many outraged Republican members of Congress were there? Zero,” Clinton told NBC News’ David Gregory.

Here's a potential alternative explanation for the Republicans' conduct — They're being whipped into a frenzy by an inflammatory YouTube video.

But seriously, between Bill Clinton's halfhearted (at best) offensive against Hillary Clinton's Benghazi critics, and her bizarrely tone-deaf musing on the family's personal wealth, maybe it's time the Clintons take a break, regroup and get a refresher on how to talk to human beings.
